Providing youth and their families the tools to help them survive and thrive in a hostile environment through five core services; Juvenile Diversion Counseling; School Drop-out Prevention; Job Training; Parent Education; and Mentor Follow-up.

INSPIRED BY FAITH: It is the Gospel message, the foundation of our Faith, that calls us to action. As followers of Christ, we are called to bring Hope and Healing to our children and families.

MINISTRY TO YOUTH, FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES IN CRISIS: We are moving beyond traditional forms of ministry. In partnership with the local church, we develop programs that change lives.

SELF AND COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT: "Helping our youth help themselves"... We believe in developing peoples' skills, awareness and talents so that they take action to control and improve their lives and their neighborhoods. As individuals empower themselves, they create communities empowered for change.

PRACTICAL COMPONENTS: Everything we do must have a practical application. Theory isn't enough - we must be able to take appropriate action to bring about change.

MEANINGFUL ALTERNATIVES: We believe children must have meaningful alternatives to gangs, drugs and violence. We know our youth need bridges into support communities that will help them sustain new behaviors.

DEVELOPING THE CAPACITY TO RESPOND: The local church is our most effective mediating institution. We believe in helping churches develop skills and strengths among their membership to respond to the challenges facing their communities.

REBUILDING HOPE: We believe in the hope of the Gospel message. We know that many of our young people have lost hope. We must show them another way - a way out of the crisis they see in their families and communities. We must help them rekindle a sense of meaning in their lives.

INTEGRITY: We ascribe to the highest standards of integrity in all our activities. We regularly contract outside audits and evaluation of our program effectiveness, fiscal management and personnel practices.

Project IMPACT USA's vision is to implement a national model of reconciliation that reduces youth violence by creating over 500 new IMPACT Centers in our most "at-risk" communities across the United States. We further envision helping bring about a future where...

In order to achieve this vision, we will focus on six major strategy areas:

PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT
Aim: To equip staff and volunteers to effectively operate IMPACT Centers, through PIUSA's intensive training program, curriculum and support services.

OUTREACH
Aim: To actively pursue new opportunities for involving neighborhoods, churches and communities in the work of reconciliation and building hope for our "at-risk" youth.

FUND DEVELOPMENT
Aim: To secure the significant capital infusion needed to achieve this strategy through implementing an aggressive fund development campaign.

PROCESSES AND SYSTEMS
Aim: To design and develop processes and systems necessary for growth insuring that program design, evaluation systems and technology are in place to operate at peak effectiveness.

COMMUNICATION
Aim: To provide our constituents with a clear understanding of our vision and strategies; to develop the infrastructure needed to maintain strong connections throughout our network.

NEW AFFILIATES
Aim: To develop the resources and procedures necessary to open over 500 new IMPACT Centers and 12 Regional Offices across the United States.
