Project IMPACT Welcomes Dan Oliver
as Director of Community and Faith Relations

 

  We are happy to announce that Rev. Dan Oliver has joined the staff of Project IMPACT as our Director of Community and Faith Relations. This position was newly created for Dan who comes to us following 10 years of dynamic ministry as Director of Church Relations at Chapman University. He brings a wealth of experience and relationship with all levels of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

Dan will help lead our efforts to promote Project IMPACT as a new relational model of ministry that helps to transform at risk children, youth and families.

Dr. Matt Harris, founder of Project IMPACT shares his enthusiasm of Dan coming on staff. “Dan brings unique gifts and talents that will help us take our message of hope off the drawing board, out of the books and journals, and fashion it into a practical lifestyle, our message of hope has become a way of life.”

Visits Project Impact - Lynwood
 
Congresswoman Linda Sánchez (39th District California) joined Lynwood City Officials and members of the Chamber of Commerce to visit various local small businesses.

  Project Impact is working close with Congresswoman's Sanchez's Director of Grants and special projects to secure funding for faith-based initiatives.

Dr. Harris Elected to Lynwood's
Chamber of Commerce
Congratulations to Project Impact's Dr. Matthew R. Harris on his recent election as President-elect of the Lynwood Chamber of Commerce. In this post ion, Dr. Harris is challenged with bridging the gaps between the business and faith community helping to reduce youth and domestic violence.
   


Job Training Continues to Expand
Project IMPACT continues to work with the city of Lynwood to expanded Job Training programs from funds from the Community Development Block Grant - CDBG funding program.
   


City of Lynwood Award Recipient
The City of Lynwood honored Dr. Matthew R. Harris with the Doctor Appreciation Award. Sixteen (16) years ago he recognized a need for people of principle to get involved in saving the lives of our youth and their families. Through diligence and persistence, he succeeded in creating a National Organization, responsible for changing thousands of lives and reconciling individuals, families and neighborhoods. He is sought after by community leaders, elected officials, agencies, churches,

cities and towns across the U.S. for his ability to bring diverse people together to work in teams. He excels at empowering people for change.

Dr. Harris built Project IMPACT from an idea to a nationally recognized model service provider, acclaimed by two (2) U.S. Senators and the President of the United States.
