Project IMPACT - Dayton, Inc. received the National Exemplary Award for the prevention of substance abuse among at-risk youth and the families.  The US Department of Health and Human Services Substance Abuse and Mental Health Serves Administration Center gave this award of Substance Abuse Prevention in cooperation with the National Prevention Network.  Project IMPACT - Dayton was one of only five programs in the country that received this award in 1997.  Other awards include:

• Exemplary Prevention Program Award - Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services - 1997

• Health Promotion Award - Center For Healthy Communities - 1997

• Award of Merit - National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials - 1996
